Compatibility

UR Codes can be scanned with all Modern Devices.

The UR Encoder SDK and UR Matcher SDK are supported on Windows, Mac, and Linux Machines via Docker.

Built-In Camera Support (Native Scanning)

UR Codes utilize Quick Response (QR) Encoding, available under a free license to any Smart Device. Any device capable of scanning a QR Code can also scan a UR Code.

Most Smart Devices can scan UR Codes natively with their Built-In Camera. The UR Code Scan+Match Apps and UR Code SDKs can be used for devices that do not have Built-In Camera Support.

UR Scan+Match Application

Android Scan+Match App: Compatible with ALL Devices with a Camera running on Android 5+ with either armv7 or arm64.

iOS Scan+Match App: Compatible with ALL Devices running on iOS 12+.

Browser Scan+Match App: Compatible with ALL Devices with a Camera on Supported Browsers, including laptops and mobile devices. See the matrix below for Browser compatibility.

UR Encoder & Matcher SDK

The UR Encoder SDK and UR Matcher SDK are Linux Containers supported by all major platforms via Docker.

Important Note: Windows Users may need to perform additional steps when running Linux Docker Containers on a Windows Host Machine. FaceTec recommends using a Linux Host Machine for an optimal deployment.

UR Scan+Match SDK

Android Scan+Match SDK: Compatible with ALL Devices with a Camera running on Android 5+ and arm64. Devices running armv7 are currently not supported, but support is planned.

iOS Scan+Match SDK: Compatible with ALL Devices running on iOS 12+.

Browser Scan+Match SDK: Compatible with ALL Devices with a Camera on Supported Browsers, including laptops and mobile devices. See the matrix below for Browser compatibility.
