Important terms to understand when using FaceTec UR Codes.
UR Code & FaceTec Terminology
UR Code
A UR Code ("You Are" Code) is a Cryptographically Signed Biometric 2D Barcode that can be used for matching and two-party remote identity verification. The face data represented in a UR Code is not an image and is not human-viewable.
3D FaceScan
An encrypted byte blob that contains reverse-engineered 3D data from 100+ video frames captured during a ~2-second User Selfie. FaceScans are always encrypted and are not human-viewable. 3D FaceScans DO contain Liveness Data.
3D Liveness Check
Our highly secure and accurate ensemble of 100+ Algorithms and Heuristics evaluates a 3D FaceScan to prove the Liveness of a User.
